Simply Bread
While it is true that "man cannot live by bread alone", it is also true that bread has been, in one form or another, an integral part of the human diet since around the year 1000 BC. At our new "Simply Bread" station, Pastry Chef Heidi will be baking one or two diferent breads for your enjoyment each day. The breads she will produce will be "simple" in that they may contain some ancient grains, organic flours, locally sourced fruits and vegetbles. The honey is a local New Jersey produced item and some of the jams and spreads will be homemade using local fresh ingredients when possible. Our philosophy of bread is well expressed by this quote "bread is but flour, water, leavening and the intervention of man" (Wells, Paris 1993)
