A health-mex concept located on ground floor of the union, our newest concept restaurant is looking for both full-time and part-time employees. Must be outgoing and a fast worker. Current hours of operation are Monday-Friday 11am-5pm.
A traditional BBQ grill located in the main food court. This new concept was opened in 2007. Mesquite offers pulled pork and bbq brisket sandwiches, sweet potato fries, Southwest mac & cheese, and more. Looking for both full-time and part-time employees. Current hours of operation are Monday-Friday 10:30am-2pm.
The Bookend Cafe is located at the main entrance of Hale Library. This coffee shop was opened in 2007. Offering a full barista menu of Starbucks products as well as Outtakes sandwiches, salads, and desserts, The Bookend Cafe provides a quick bite to eat or drink for all who visit the library. Looking for part-time employees. Current hours of operation are typically Monday-Thursday 7:00am-10pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:30pm, and Sunday 6pm-10pm.
Chartwells has a full-service catering staff which services events both on and off campus. Catered events range from small informal lunches to VIP black tie dinners for 200 or more. Wedding receptions, athletics banquets, and New Student Orientation are a few more examples. In addition to traditional catering, we also provide the food and beverage services for all 57 skyboxes at the Bill Snyder Family Stadium for all K-State home football games. Each season traditionally has 6-8 home games in which all skyboxes order both food and beverages. Loge boxes for both Men's and Women's Basketball Games are also catered through Chartwells. These catered events are a great networking opportunity for both students and residents of Manhattan.
Chartwells main production kitchen, located on the First Floor of the K-State Student Union, produces over 2,000 meals each day for students, faculty, staff, and Manhattan residents. Bring your culinary skills to the table and join our Executive Chef and his team of professionals. Due to high volumes of production, hours of operation fluxuate and schedules are very flexible.
Located in the K-State Student Union Food Court, our "Express" Chick-Fil-A offers the core menu items of a traditional Chick-Fil-A restaurant. Serving chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, crispy waffle fries, cool wraps, hand-squeezed lemonade, and more. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 10:30am - 5:00pm.
Opened in August 2007, Caribou Coffee launched its first college campus location here at K-State Student Union! A full-service Caribou Coffee has been an excellent edition to the Union's food service options. Our location is open Monday-Thursday 7:00am - 9:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Bring your barista skills and love of coffee and join the 'Bou Team'.
A fully revamped menu beginning in August 2008, Sandwich Central now offers panini's and flatbreads grilled-to-order. Located in the K-State Student Union Food Court, Sandwich Central offers a hot and fresh twist on traditional sandwiches for lunch. Tuscan Chicken Panini, 5-Cheese Panini, and Italian Flatbreads are just a few examples. Freshly seasoned potato chips and a jumbo dill pickle complete your lunch menu. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 10:30am - 2:00pm.
Traditional home-style foods are offered daily at Market Carvery. The core of the K-State Student Union Food Court, Market Carvery serves traditional breakfast and lunch items Monday - Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm. Biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon, and breakfast sandwiches are the best way to start your day. Return for meatloaf, carved roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes and corn or green beans for a well-balanced lunch. Join this team and you'll feel right at home.
VET MED CAFE
Vet Med Cafe, located in Trotter Hall, services any students, faculty, and staff located on the north part of K-State's campus. The Cafe is open 7:00am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday. Traditional breakfast and lunch items are served, as well as quick Outtakes items, bottled beverages, and simple desserts. Don't go hungry when you're away from the Union, stop by Trotter Hall!

In addition to each specific food venue, we also employ many other important support positions. These may include: dishwashers, porters, stockers, and more. Without these positions our food court would not continue to be clean and maintained.
