How Does the Meal Plan Work?
Our meal plans have been designed to accommodate the various needs of our students. With our meal plans, you will have the option of eating up to 19 meals on campus each week. When you become a meal plan member, your student ID card, the OneCard, allows you to use your meal plan at any of our dining locations. When signing up, select a meal plan based on your academic schedule, eating patterns, work life, and social life.
The 10, 15, and 19 Meal Plans come with two options:
Meals Per Week:
For students living in our residence halls, there is no better value than the meals per week option. This option allows you to enjoy up to the specified number of guaranteed meals each week for the semester that you have signed up for. You can use your meal “allowance” for breakfast, lunch and dinner in our all-you-care-to-eat dining center as well as in Café in the Park, through the meal exchange option. Each time you use a meal, it is subtracted from your weekly balance. Meals do not carry over from week to week and the meal plans reset every Sunday night. You select the number of meals per week when you sign up.
Gator Dollars:
Gator Dollars are accepted like cash in all our dining locations. Gator Dollars are a “declining balance account” that works on the same principle as a debit card. You can use your Gator Dollars to purchase beverages, snacks or even a full meal in Café in the Park and in all the vending machines in the residential community. Each time you make a purchase, the purchase amount is subtracted from your Gator Dollars balance. Gator Dollars do carry over from semester to semester, but not from year to year. Additional Gator Dollars can be added to your account at any time.
Please Note: All freshmen students living in Mary Ward Hall, Mary Park Hall, the Science and Technology Theme Community, the Towers at Centennial Square, or the Village Building C are required to have a minimum of a 10 meal plan. You may add additional Gator Dollars to your account at any time online, Click Here or visit the Onecard Office at the Student Services Building, Room 103c.
