ZERO TRANS FAT All frying oils we use on campus are Trans Fat Free Soy/Canola Oil. Trans fat free oil is important to make our foods healthy and keep our customers healthy as well! Trying to stay healthy at home? Look for the words hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated--if this is in your food it contains trans fats. Total transfats eliminated in 2007 2 million pounds. Total saturated fats elimated in 2007 485,000 pounds.

CAGE FREE EGGS Chartwells supports the use of cage free shell eggs in all our egg salads, fried eggs, hard boiled eggs, and egg burgers. This is important because we are the first food service company to implement a policy across all lines of business with such a large volume.
Its a total commitment:
* 48 million eggs * Equal to 4 million dozen * Impacts 200,000 hens
